We are locals who live, play, and work right down the street from most of our rentals.  Being a teacher in Georgia and Florida for 20 years and switching to owning my own business came with a fair number of bumps and long days, but honestly, managing a vacation rental business appears to be a perfect fit.  I’m fortunate to have an amazing team by my side to ensure all the many moving parts of this business run smoothly and efficiently.  We have established many ties in our community to include Realtors, boat captains, artists, photographers, car service owners, contractors, accountants, and more.  Several years back I bought my first investment property, a two bed one bath condo in Forest Ridge on Amelia Island I spent all my weekends refurbishing every nook and cranny while still working my full time job as a teacher in Georgia I managed my condo as a vacation rental for about a year.   It was obvious after only a few months into it that I was hooked! It was time to get serious and figure out how to do this gig full time.   So, I bought another vacation rental investment, but this time on the other end of the island. Word soon got out (it’s a small island) that I was managing a few rentals.   Before I knew it, I had 5.  Mind you, I was still teaching.  As my new business grew so did my team.  It was time to jump in with both feet and leave teaching behind.  I haven’t regretted it for a minute.  We now have 80 rentals and growing.  We love what we do and hope it shows!
