Even Better Charter Fishing is on a mission to make sure you have an unforgettable fishing experience every time you go out with them. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are safe and comfortable, and make it their primary goal that your family has a fun day on the water. As life-long natives of Amelia Island they know where the fish are, and will make certain that there is fish on the dock upon your return.

Their boat is a 34 foot Bill Ritchie custom made for Offshore sport fishing, which was built in 1989. It is powered by two 330 HP Cummins engines with a maximum cruising speed of 31 knots, and can take up to 6 persons. It is a safe vessel with a radar, a GPS, a VHF radio and a fishfinder essential for locating those honey pot fishing spots. It boasts a toilet which is a much appreciated and necessary feature if you take your family out on the water for the day. It also has a fighting chair; and rod, reels & tackle, live bait, and lures are all provided by the welcoming crew.

Even Better Fishing Charters crew is familiar with various fishing techniques such as light and heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging and drift fishing. They are able to teach you and your family these techniques depending on the seasonality of fish you are catching. The excellent Red Snapper, Cobia, Great Barracuda, Tarpon, Black Drum, Amberjack, Black Seabass, Spanish Mackerel, Gag and Broomtail Grouper, and Redfish can all be caught in the area. They will also clean and fillet your fish, so you can eat your catch.

About Captain David Johnson:

I grew up in a fishing family and have been on the water since birth. I first moved on a boat at the age of 8 years old and I still live aboard a boat today. I landed my first job on a charter fishing boat at the age of 10 years old. I was licensed by the USCG at age 18 and fishing is my full-time job and passion.
